About your counsellor
Matthew Reynolds has a graduate diploma in counselling from Australian College of Applied Psychology and a degree in Commerce from UNSW. Matthew has also completed additional studies in ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). Matthew is an associate member of PACFA.
Matthew's counselling is a blend of person centered counselling and acceptance and commitment therapy. The overall approach is to work towards easing psychological distress and helping each client lead the best life possible.
Matthew is a warm and engaging therapist with a genuine interest in, and concern for, his clients. Matthew particularly enjoys working with challenging situations such as grief and loss, addictions, stress, anxiety, trauma, gender and sexuality issues, and stressful work/life balance.
As Matthew has formally been in corporate life, he particularly understands the stresses and impacts a busy executive or business owner may be impacted by, and we have developed acceptance and commitment therapy to work with, and help, these clients.
Matthew is passionate about helping people from all walks of life and backgrounds to find the path for a rich, full and meaningful life.
